1.
You're an island in whose shores I arrived Your breath is the breath that drew me in tide by tide What a great yearning it has been To experience my inner being Aum I had to empty myself for you To make space for two Little did I know that I was dissolving in you What a fool I was To count your ways Now that I have been Kissed by your grace -- O.A.K.
2.
Farewell 03:03
If distance makes me sore from moments of you past, I hope your haunting image In this existence vast Can fill this blessed void With any of its art For your absence shall stage, The musings of my heart (Interlude) When we finally part, a veil of endless nights Shall shroud our timely distance And leave me dotted lights That will shimmer in me Your divine aftertaste A thousand lives can be Spent by me in your wait -- O.A.K.
3.
Endless possibilities waiting here Behind the finite reach of stare A breath circling, this icy lair A gloom thickens this haunted air No No All this I can no longer bear Someone's there Someone's there Someone's there -- O.A.K.
4.
Butterfly 02:19
I come to see and smile At this dark sweet butterfly And I know that if I Would chase then she would fly Fluttering she'd dart And take with her my heart So precious are those wings And colours that they bring Pouring my soul its fill When she is standing still Standing still -- O.A.K.

about

“The strength of a tree is in how far its roots have ventured in the dark“ -- O.A.K.

This EP with its four songs offers disjointed glimpses of someone’s spiritual journey and the cycles of pleasure and pain one feels while trying to overcome the Ego and find inner peace. The path laid with love, loss and fear offers moments of clarity and catharsis. But are we chasing the impermanent? Is there lasting happiness? Even the mightiest Oak Trees are bound by the seasons and have their leaves laid bare in winter. Each song represents a phase of inner realization though they may be repetitive or interchangeable, they are all part of a cycle that we all in some ways strive to transcend.
